International Plant Day

Plant Blindness is an error of perception which many people have and which leads us to ignore plants. This is not only an issue in science, but also in art and affects our response as a society to climate change.
In this workshop we focused on the colors of flower petals, in the tradition of artists such as Iris von Roten and Pipilotti Rist - who give plants a starring role in their work.
We discussed why the shapes and colors of plants can change due to climate change and created watercolors from flower petals, with which we wrote a letter to a plant.
